Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 2026. bluewine is a service by Wise in Blue.
1. What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser mechanisms: they also keep small values on your device, but are never sent automatically to a server. Privacy rules treat them the same way, so we describe both here.
2. What we use, exactly
Strictly necessary — always active
These make the service work. They cannot be switched off and require no consent.

Analytics
We use two measurement services, and they behave differently:

Google Analytics runs with Google Consent Mode v2. In practice: before you make a choice, and
if you press Reject, GA4 is in cookieless mode — it writes nothing to your device
and sends only anonymous aggregated signals, with no identifier that could follow you. Only after an
explicit Accept does it set the _ga cookies described above.
Advertising and tracking
We use none. No advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels, no social media trackers, no profiling, and no sharing of your browsing with advertising networks. We do not sell data.
3. Your choice, and how to change it
On your first visit we show a banner with Accept and Reject, given equal prominence. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage (not in a cookie) and applies to this site on this browser.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any moment — withdrawing is as easy as giving it:
You can also delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings, or browse in a private window. Blocking strictly necessary storage may stop you from staying logged in.
4. Who receives this data
The analytics providers named above act as our sub-processors. Cloudflare Web Analytics processes aggregated data only. Google Analytics involves a transfer to the United States, based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
None of this concerns the data inside the product. Your account and your wines, experiences, cellar records, members and trade clients are stored in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany) and are never sent to an analytics service. 5. Your rights and contact
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your personal data. Write to [email protected].
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for Wise in Blue this is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, dpa.gr — or with the authority of the country where you live.
